Nathaniel Paul Shares New Single ‘The Phone’

Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer, songwriter and 1/2 of the band The Bergamot, Nathaniel Paul has just shared his brand new single The Phone, the latest single to be taken from his first full length album set, Learning to Listen, out now via AWAL.

The Phone is a warm piece of indie-rock song on which Nathaniel's smooth vocals soar beautifully over the polished production. This is a song about dealing with depression, and how the pandemic made it even difficult to live with it. I am really enjoying the cool guitars and how they are nicely intertwined with a steady beat and cool percussion which create a warm, laid-back atmosphere that I find quite captivating. Accompanying the release, Nathaniel Paul has shared its official music video which you can check out below!

Speaking about the song, Nathaniel said,

Depression is something that lingers in all of us, including myself. During the pandemic, it has been a particularly difficult struggle for musicians who lost everything. I have struggled with this for the last year. This is a song about starting my day the wrong way.
