Christy Shares New Single ‘Somebody Else Instead’

Glaswegian singer and songwriter Christy has just shared his brand new single Somebody Else Instead, the title track of his new acoustic EP, out now via Made Records.

I am a fan of Christy's breathtakingly beautiful vocals which are packed with so much raw emotion that is impossible not to fall in love with his music. Somebody Else Instead is the most vulnerable, stripped-back moment of the EP and it effortlessly encapsulates all that I love about Christy's music: raw, honest storytelling and emotive vocals. I am particularly fond of the intricate acoustic guitar melodies which are nicely paired with delicate piano chords and subtle strings which create an overall warm and intimate atmosphere for his vocals and storytelling to soar. This is a great song for a relaxing, warm summer day at home. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Christy said,
'Somebody Else Instead', the title track of this stripped back acoustic EP, is a song I wrote that perfectly encapsulates the feeling I felt when I was trying to move on past a relationship. I felt like I was just trying to replace them constantly. Then I had a thought, that when you are in a relationship, all you really do is waste your time with that person, so maybe that’s what love is, wasting your time with the right person but having the most fun doing nothing. This whole EP is my journey up to now of how I have felt about moving on. I hope everyone listens to this and hears every bit of emotion I have felt making it.
