Melbourne-based singer and songwriter Anita Lester has just shared her brand new single Sun and Moon and Stars, a heartfelt heartbreak ballad.
I am really enjoying the raw energy of the production with intricate guitar riffs instantly creating a warm and intimate background for Anita Lester's smooth, emotive vocals and storytelling to soar. The song was written in the middle of 2020 with the pandemic affecting all of our lives and relationships. I am very fond of how the intricate guitar riffs are nicely intertwined with emotive piano chords creating a warm and melancholic atmosphere perfect for an introspective day home alone. It’s been a long journey for me in this world of music and I’ve always been told that when you hit 35 it’s kind of all over. When the world silenced and I was left with what was important, I realised there is no limitation, except for the one that you create. I’m attempting to normalise making art outside of the boundaries of a very conservative industry and showing that with growth, the best art is made.
