The Motion Epic Shares New Single ‘You’re Not Ready’

Following the release of his gorgeous synthpop gem Runaway, featuring Scottish singer/producer Michael Oakley, The Motion Epic, the synth-pop/retrowave project by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Pat DiMeo, has just shared his brand new single You're Not Ready.

I've grown used to listening to amazing electro-pop/synthwave music from The Motion Epic and You're Not Ready is another great example of it. I am a big fan of his silky smooth vocals and how they beautifully draw the listener's attention to his relatable storytelling. You're Not Ready is a song about self-confidence, to take that extra step that can change your life forever. This message is wrapped around a memorable, retro-tinged synthwave production with an infectious driving beat, bright synths and an epic sax solo that just makes the song stand out even more. This is a summery piece of music perfect for an introspective day and I think you're going to love it. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, The Motion Epic said,

"You’re not ready" is really a song about self-confidence. I think and just going in. All in. That one moment that can change your life forever. This song starts off with the utmost energy and ends off on a sad, sort of contemplative note. “You’re Not Ready” is directly inspired by Springsteen’s “Tunnel of Love”. The key change is a sort of a foreshadow of what’s to come, what you’re gonna hear on this record in this journey of contradiction between heartbreak and joy.
