Cathal Murphy Shares New Single ‘Frame’

Northern Irish singer, songwriter and guitarist Cathal Murphy has just shared his brand new single Frame, the first single to be lifted from his upcoming debut EP set to arrive in June. 

Co-produced by Cathal and Ben Wanders, Frame is a jazz-infused, soulful pop song that evolves with a brooding bass and melodic electric guitar to striking effect. This is a song about knowing what keeps two people together in order to make a relationship work. I am really enjoying Cathal's warm, soulful vocals which soar effortlessly over the intricate soundscape that creates a warm, alluring atmosphere. Check it out below!

 

Speaking about the song, Cathal said,

‘Frame’ paved the way for the rest of the EP. I wanted it to reflect the mutual support in a relationship as well as the comfort that comes with that. I think that it can be pretty easy to get caught up in what can tear you apart, but 'Frame' is looking to acknowledge what keeps you together. It's about being constant despite whatever challenges may come to light. I have your back, you have mine… it’s a romantic sentiment at heart rather than contractual.
