I am really enjoying the tone of her vocals and how they instantly draw the listener's attention to her storytelling. Speaking about the song, Taylor Castro said,
A hurricane is basically this mutant rain storm, so I felt like it was a great metaphor for trying to get closer to someone by essentially getting into a fight with them and tracking what makes them tick. As wrong as that behavior may be, it’s only natural, and this song is about it from the manipulator’s point of view.
