Dady Share New Single ‘Dark Mode’

New York-based duo Dady, consisting of singer Rachel Dady and producer Jesse O'Connor, have just shared their brand new single Dark Mode, their first single of the year.

Dark Mode is a dreamy piece of indie-pop music with groovy guitar riffs and an overall light atmosphere. I am loving those sweet vocals flowing effortlessly over the warm, dreamy production. This is one of those songs that instantly get me in a good mood and makes me think of those carefree summer days. The production features captivating organic instrument sounds that create the perfect soundscape for Rachel Dady's lovely, silky-smooth vocals to soar. I am particularly fond of the sun-soaked guitar riffs, steady percussion and the song's overall feel-good atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Dady said,

Dark Mode was written and recorded (almost) all in one day during the summer of 2020. With this release, we decided to explore warmer, more organic instrument sounds, a bit of a departure from our early production and beat-heavy tracks. Chalk it up to turning 30 (or all of the Phoebe Bridgers and Soccer Mommy we listened to over the course of the pandemic), but we wanted to take our foot off the gas with Dark Mode. Both vocally and production-wise, it’s an exploration of how less can be more.
