South Carolina-based singer and songwriter Tom Mackell has just shared his brand new single Maybe Tonight, an infectious Country-tinged Pop/rock song.

I am a fan of his lovely, distinctive vocals and how they instantly infuse the song with a touch of emotion and vulnerability that contrasts with the upbeat production. Maybe Tonight is a song about the excitement and bliss of a new relationship and is wrapped around an infectious Country-tinged production with lush chord progressions and vocal melodies that got me hooked right from the start. I am particularly fond of the intricate acoustic guitar riffs that are effortlessly intertwined with steady percussion and a killer electric guitar solo that makes it stand out even more. The chorus is perfect to sing along to and the song has an overall feel-good atmosphere.

Tom Mackell said, Maybe Tonight began as a message to myself. The song is inspired by love and the feeling of starting something new. I wanted to capture the energy, excitement and hesitation of it as well — not knowing whether or not things will work out, but hoping that they do. I was sitting on the idea during my drive from Charleston to Nashville while reflecting on my current relationships.
