townsend, the moniker of Nashville-based singer, songwriter, musician and producer John Townsend, has just shared his brand new single You, an infectious indietronica song.
I am really enjoying his smooth vocals and how they soar beautifully over the lush electronic production. You is a love song about meeting someone special that completely changes your life. I am particularly fond of the cool guitar plucks, catchy beat, bright synths and punchy percussion that build up with energy along with the emotion of his storytelling. Speaking about the song, townsend said,
I wanted to write a song about meeting someone who changes everything up - you try new things, go out more, stay up too late, search for any excuse to be together and all that fun stuff that give you life. Kinda cheesy but kinda not because that's what usually happens anyways.
