Olive Louise Shares New Single ‘Nothing’s The Same’

New York-based singer and songwriter Olive Louise has just shared her brand new single Nothing's The Same, a warm, chilled out piece of indie-pop music.

Nothing's The Same is a song about how everything has changed in her life, feeling nostalgic while reminiscing about several moments in her life. I am am one of those people that do tend to feel quite nostalgic while reminiscing about simpler times and Olive perfectly captures that mood and feelings in this song. I am really enjoying the polished production packed with lovely piano chords, an infectious beat backing her lovely vocals and harmonies which create quite a chill, feel-good atmosphere that makes me want to play it over and over again.

Accompanying the release, Olive Louise has shared its captivating music video, directed by Fernando Manuel, which beautifully embodies the song's message and atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Olive Louise said,

Nothing's The Same is a feel good song about how everything has changed in my life. It's looking back at moments that at the time I didn't realize I would ever feel nostalgic over. The little things like running through a field when I was a kid and what that felt like, going on a joy ride and bickering over who gets to choose the music for the first time, getting lost in a daydream because there wasn't anything to worry about. The feeling of simpler times. I really wanted this song to capture that it's the small in between moments that we end up longing to experience again. That kiss, the sun on vacation, a specific day of laughter, getting dressed up to go somewhere, seeing a friend again after a very long time.. even our first heartbreak, the need and want for love and deep friendship that sometimes falls through, all those moments in limbo on the way to somewhere. It's everything going on in those transitional stages that actually make us feel the most alive and connected in the world. This song represents that excitement and hopefulness for what's to come, while also reminiscing on the beautiful times we won't experience again other than how we feel them through our memories.
