Speaking about the song, Jameson Gerdon said,

I lost my job due to the pandemic. I was living in Chicago but had to leave the city and move back to my hometown, Seattle. I wrote this song just a week or two after moving back. I was sad and confused but I always try to stay optimistic. Writing this song helped me cope with my feelings and in the end made me feel better about my situation. It brought me joy amongst all the chaos. I hope this song brings my listeners joy and helps them realize that we're all human, we all have good days and bad days, and we can get through anything if we choose joy.
