James Vickery Shares New Single ‘Come To Me’ ft. Musiq Soulchild
Following the release of his highly-praised Maths Time Joy-produced single Somewhere, Out There last month, South London's rising R&B singer and songwriter James Vickery is back with a gorgeous new single titled Come To Me, out now via Th3rd Brain.
For this song, James Vickery teamed up with American singer/songwriter Musiq Soulchild and the result is pure magic. I am loving those lush vocals and harmonies that give me Bee Gees vibes and how they are packed with so much soul and emotion. Come To Me is a song about a short-lived romance and is wrapped around a warm Soul-infused, R&B production with tons of groove, catchy rhythms and an overall feel-good atmosphere. My goal for my debut album is to create a timeless body of work. In order to do that I need to pay homage to the greats. I would not be the singer or artist I am today had it not been for Musiq Soulchild. Having him help share my story of my own fleeting and desperate short-lived romance almost feels like a dream. I am honoured beyond words.
