Emilia Tarrant Shares New Single ‘Honeymoon Phase’

British singer and songwriter Emilia Tarrant has just shared her brand new single Honeymoon Phase, an intimate piano-based song.

I am loving her dulcet tones and emotive vocal delivery which instantly connects the listener to her earnest storytelling. Produced by Luke Potashnick, Honeymoon Phase is a song about the ebbs and flows of a new relationship and is wrapped around a sweeping piano-led arrangement beautifully intertwined with contemporary pop beats that create a warm and intimate atmosphere for her gorgeous vocals to soar. Speaking about the song, Emilia Tarrant said,

Honeymoon Phase is based on the stereotypical fairy-tale beginning that most new relationships endure, and surviving the end of it. It covers the ebbs and flows of a new relationship, the choice we face whether it’s worth fighting for, as well as the inevitable cyclical argumentative stage: ‘we fight, we cry, we hug, we fight again.

'I was extremely excited to work with producer Luke Potashnick on Honeymoon Phase (Gabrielle Aplin) for my first time recording with multi-instrumental layered production. To start, we recorded using a dampened piano, covering the strings of the piano with a blanket for a soft and slightly out of tune sound to reflect the bittersweet subject. We layered many different sounds over this to express emotional turmoil and a sense of desperation.'.
