Christy Shares New Single ‘Burned Out’
Scottish singer and songwriter Christy has just unveiled yet another stunning single titled Burned Out, out now via Made Records.
Once again it's Christy's lush, soulful vocals (with a captivating raspy touch) that caught my attention to the song that was born out of the shared trauma of the last year. 2020 was indeed a crazy year with the pandemic and political issues all over the globe, and we're still not in the clear. I love how expressive his vocal delivery is, packed with raw emotion and instantly connecting the listener to his relatable storytelling. The song sees him add swirling string samples and gentle trip-hop style beats to his armoury, with an expansive atmosphere which develops his sound. Check it out below!
Speaking about the song, Christy said,
Burned Out’ is 2020 summed up into a song. There were times when I felt like I was finished with everything and really fed up. I felt very out of control, like so many of us did, so that’s what this song is for me. It’s about feeling helpless, frustrated, and ignored within a flawed system. I have evolved as a songwriter, and the situation has shaped the kind of songs I’m writing.
