Messy Shares New Single ‘Lonely’

Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter Messy has just shared his brand new single Lonely, a pounding pop number about love and romantic relationships.

Full of shimmering synth patterns and rolling drum beats, Lonely combines elements of pop, hip-hop and dance ready rhythms to create a rich soundscape. I am particularly fond of the cool guitar riffs throughout the song and how his warm vocals soar effortlessly over the infectious production. Lonely tackles two sides of romantic relationships: on one hand there are times we take things slowly as a way to avoid things burning out too quickly and on the other hand there are some that look past some red flags just for the sake of not being lonely. This is a song most of us can relate to and is wrapped around infectious melodies that make it perfect to sing along to. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Messy said,

it’s a song about a person you could see meaning everything to you, and not wanting to let the flame burn out too quickly.

On the other hand, sometimes we meet people where we have to look past too many things that feel wrong but stay just not to be lonely. This track is the reconciliation between those two opposing thoughts, and trying to find out which person they are to you.
