Say Anise Shares New Single ‘Morning Song’
Following last month's I Remember, Say Anise, the moniker of London-based Folk/Pop singer and songwriter Emily Barnett, is back with a brand new single titled Morning Song, the second single from Say Anise’s forthcoming debut EP Say What You Want, out in January.
I am really enjoying her vocals and how they instantly command the listener's attention to her lovely storytelling. The production is flawless and allows for her vocals and storytelling to soar. The lyrics describe the very first things one notices and observes when waking up in the morning, whilst simultaneously contemplating the wider meaning of modern living. I am particularly fond of the way the song starts with an acoustic guitar and bass, gradually builting to a full band instrumental with a sweeping guitar solo. Quite an enthralling listening experience with somewhat of a dreamy and laid-back atmosphere. Check it out below!
