Òlah Bliss Shares New Single ‘Push Me To The Edge’ ft. Kid Bookie

London-based, Polish-born singer and songwriter Òlah Bliss is back with her brand new single Push Me To The Edge, a catchy piece of pop music that reflects on her state of mind during the first lockdown earlier this year.

For this song Òlah enlisted the help of London-based rapper Kid Bookie who adds a cool urban touch to the song. I am a fan of Òlah's distinctive raspy vocals and how they instantly draw the listener's attention to her relatable storytelling. I know that 2020 hasn't been an easy year for us and lockdowns can have a toll on our mental health and here Òlah Bliss shares how staying at home affected her mindset, with anxiety and frustration taking centre stage. It's a nicely produced song with an infectious beat and Kid Bookie's verse is quite sharp and give the song a cool edge. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Òlah Bliss said,

I know this year has been extremely tough for most people, I feel the exact same. It's been hard to focus on making/ releasing music, although I really tried my very best. I decided to put one more record out called Push Me To The Edge. I wrote the track during the first lockdown and it reflects how I've been feeling over the last few months. I don't normally get time to just "be in my head" and reflect on my journey and achievements thus far; I finally got this opportunity whilst staying at home and the feeling was underwhelming. The journey of an artist is not easy an easy one, we invest our time and any money that we get back into music with no guarantees of success, just sheer hope that our music will be heard and liked, it is our passion after all and not being able to share it with people is soul destroying. I've met many industry professionals who have promised me the world and later caused nothing but anxiety and disappointment, I'm sure there are many artists who can relate to that. People have strange ways of making other people feel shit about themselves, because them themselves are unsure of who they are and they're unable to escape their mental cages. This song has been written out of pain and frustration, feeling like I'm underachieving, feeling the pressure to perform better, this is literally the only way I can describe this record.
