Following the release of her upbeat pop single Talk Shit, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Savannah Sgro is back with her brand new single I Hate the Holidays, a melancholy-infused piece of sad-pop music about the Holidays co written with Maddy and Johnny Simmen.
I am a big fan of Savannah Sgro's smooth, dulcet tones and how they soar beautifully over the warm and intimate pop production. I am also very fond of the melancholia in the song that describes her feelings growing up with divorced parents and having to split the time during the holidays, always thinking she was missing out. I can't say I've been in that situation but I can relate with the feeling of missing out and I love how easily her vocals convey the emotion of her lovely storytelling. Check out this warm gem below!
