Ruby Love Shares New Single ‘Love is a Killer’

British singer and songwriter Ruby Love has just shared her brand new single Love is a Killer, an up-tempo, dark-pop song that aims to raise awareness of domestic abuse and encourage donations to the charities across the UK that help and support survivors.

The song came just in time for International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (November 25th) and shines a light on a very important issue that affects many people. I am really enjoying her vocal delivery and how it is beautifully backed by an infectious electro-pop production with lush, dramatic piano chords.

A storytelling music video which emphasises the song’s narrative, highlights the most recent domestic abuse statistics and details supportive organisations will follow and mark this important day. Check it out below!

Ruby Love recalls,

I remember writing the song, my ex-partner had been charged and bailed for the crime he committed against me and I was scared. I was getting these notes left on my car and I felt like I was being followed. The song is true story that 1 in 3 women who experience some sort of domestic abuse in their lifetime can relate to.
