KINGS Shares New Single ‘Sad Boy Hour’
TikTok pop star KINGS has just shared her brand new single Sad Boy Hour, a cool pop song about being in a relationship with someone extremely self-absorbed and insecure.
This relatable song is wrapped around a captivating pop production on which KINGS beautifully showcases her lush, soulful vocals over upbeat melodies packed with groovy guitars and a catchy beat. Speaking about the song, KINGS said,
Here’s the tea. “sad boy hour” was definitely a song I needed to write. It all started out with a boy who I can barely say I dated. It was great the first month, but then it quickly went downhill. Many amazing things were happening in my life around the time that I met him, and I associated my feelings for him with that time in my life. Unfortunately, I got a little carried away with the idea of him. By the end of the second month, I realized just how little I actually knew about this person’s character. He was extremely self absorbed. He could never get over himself, and probably never will. Because of this, he always had a black cloud over his head. He would discourage me from taking good opportunities just because he was threatened by me and anyone else he felt inferior to. He had a lot going for him, but he couldn’t see past his own negativity. I was drained by trying to be overly happy and constantly building him up just because he felt insecure. He would treat me bad and then crawl back time and time again. I was the only thing that made him happy and when he realized that I wasn’t perfect (I am very far from it) he was out. I would never want to hurt him or anyone else by being open about details, but honestly, it was such relief not having to deal with his constant drama. It’s his sad boy hour, not mine.
