Leicester based singer-songwriter James Cherry has just shared his brand new single Don't Let Go Of Love, out now via Young Poet Records.
I am a sucker for piano-based ballads and as soon as I heard his emotive vocals soaring over the lush piano keys I knew I was in for a treat! Co-written and recorded remotely during the UK’s COVID-19 lockdown with artist George Glew and producer Hugh Worskett (Will Joseph Cook, Michael Kiwanuka, dodie), Don’t Let Go Of Love is a beautifully stark ode to believing in love itself. Speaking about the song, James Cherry said,
The idea for the song resonated with me from the get-go - most, if not all relationships have their ups and downs and sometimes it’s easier to just walk away, particularly in an age where it’s so easy to find someone new via social media. I think you have to work super hard to make any relationship work but the ones that really blossom are the ones where you persist and where you don’t give up hope or let go of love.
