James Chatburn Shares New Single ‘Why You Gotta Lie’

Berlin-based, Australian singer, songwriter and producer James Chatburn has just shared his new single Why You Gotta Lie, the lead single of Faible Teil 1, the first part of his debut album.

I am loving those sultry, soulful vocals and how they are beautifully backed by a smooth Contemporary R&B production. I am particularly fond of his gorgeous vocals, especially when he hits those high notes which are pure gold. I am also really enjoying the guitar plucks and cool melodies that create quite a warm and intimate atmosphere for this relatable storytelling about compulsive lying to soar. Check it out below!

 

Speaking about the song, James Chatburn said,

I noticed meeting a few people who would lie for the sake of it, and I found it kind of impressive seeing the creativity which goes into that act, like wow! I kind of looked at this habit (in the process of writing music) as a way to open up the possibilities of how creative you can be.
