Speaking about the song, Jacqui said,
Colours is a song I wrote about recovering from a rough time in my life. I wrote it about choosing to see the beauty in life when things get difficult. It is the first song off of my upcoming FACTOR funded Ep, "Honest." My hope for this song is that it can help someone else who is struggling to also choose to see the colours in their life when things get hard.
