Greya Shares New Single ‘Thrive’
Philadelphia-native and powerhouse pop vocalist Greya has just shared her brand new single Thrive, a cool pop song about being in a one sided relationship.
I am very fond of Greya's gorgeous, powerful vocals (loving her belts) and how they easily convey the emotion of her storytelling. Thrive tells the story of a girl being in a relationship where her partner is quite an egomaniac and doesn't put the same effort in the relationship, slowly making it quite an unhealthy relationship. This relatable message is wrapped around a captivating pop production with lush guitar riffs throughout, cool electronic elements and an infectious hook. Check it out below!
Speaking about the song, Greya said,
I wrote Thrive about a one sided relationship. The love interest is really the quintessential egomaniac, just in it for the validation he’s getting from the girl. She just wants clarity and to feel like the effort she’s putting in is mutual, but like so many relationships, she’s getting used for how she makes him feel. It’s kind of a merry-go-round of “I’ll do what I need to to keep you around, but not enough to make this healthy”.
