Eli Gosling Shares ‘Feelings For You’ Music Video

British singer and songwriter Eli Gosling has just shared the official music video for his gorgeous single Feelings For You, taken from his debut EP, Blue Romance, out now via Goldun Egg Records.

I am really enjoying Eli's emotive vocal delivery and how it is beautifully backed by graceful piano lines, proud bass and dreamy harmonies that create a melancholic atmosphere that enhances the emotion of his relatable storytelling.

To accompany the release, Eli has just unveiled its reflective music video directed by cinematographer Will Bickford in a remote rural location during lockdown. Check it out below!

 

Eli said about the concept for the music video,

We’ve had a lot of time to reflect this year. I’ve been unable to hang out with friends in large groups, or head to skate parks like I usually would. I’m instinctively gregarious by nature and I wanted this video to show how many of us have had to adapt to the solitude, but still have the same complex emotions to work though. ‘Feelings for you’ kind of depicts of how you feel when you catch feelings for someone, it’s all encompassing, and you end up focusing every bit of your energy into that one person. It’s gutting when it doesn’t work out how you’d planned, but there comes a point when you realise that there was no way of controlling the outcome, no matter how hard you tried.

I knew I wanted to visually create a narrative which captured the raw emotion behind the song using mise-en-scène and cinematography. The location opened up so many cinematic dimensions, I also spoke extensively with Eli about the music throughout the entire process, which allowed me to grasp a complete understanding of what Eli envisioned for the video too.
