Eiza Murphy Shares New Single ‘Taxi’

Irish singer and songwriter Eiza Murphy has just shared her brand new single Taxi, the follow-up to her debut single Black Hole.

I am loving Eiza's hypnotic, emotive vocals and how they are backed by a minimal production that escalates at the chorus. I am particularly fond of the cool guitar plucks, her haunting harmonies and cool bass. Taxi is a song that touches on materialism, dishonesty, and superficiality wrapped around a captivating production that reminds of of acts such as Lana Del Rey, FINNEAS and Billie Eilish. Speaking about the song, Eiza Murphy said,

I started writing “Taxi” after leaving the most toxic party and thinking ‘god how do people not see through this?’. It was kind of a vent. I think a lot of people have been in a situation like that at some point and seen through the *B.S.* so I think they’ll get it. I definitely didn’t hold back.
