Drea Shares New Single ‘Ocean Avenue’

Massachusetts-based singer and songwriter Drea has just shared her brand new single Ocean Avenue, the title track of her debut EP, out now.

I am really enjoying Drea's powerful, soulful vocals which are packed with so much emotion, effortlessly drawing the listener's attention to her beautiful storytelling. Ocean Avenue tells the relatable story of letting go of toxic people and realising one's own worth and not settling for less. Loving the warm, intimate soul/r&bproduction with gorgeous guitar plucks (and a memorable guitar solo) and how the whole song has a laid-back atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxing day at home. Ocean Ave is the comeback after Indica, where the narrator takes back her power. Letting go of whoever this person is that’s causing pain, and finding a replacement. Understanding your worth, and demanding what you deserve. Rather than succumbing into her old ways, she finds her own path “Don’t you try to box me in if you value your time”.
