ViVii Share New Single ‘Summer Of 99’
Following their lovely single Whistle, which came out in June, Swedish dream-pop trio ViVii return with yet another gorgeous piece of music titled Summer Of 99, out now via Dumont Dumont.
Like its predecessor, Summer Of 99 has a folk vibe, especially in the intro with those intricate guitar melodies backing their smooth, dreamy vocals, but soon the song builds up into a breezy indie-pop gem. I am very fond of the most intimate, stripped-back part of the song but its electronic touch is quite addictive mostly thanks to that groovy beat, hazy synths and some psychedelic vibes. Summer Of 99 is a summery piece of indie-pop music with dreamy vocals and an overall feel-good and laid-back atmosphere which you can check out below!
