Eli Gosling Shares ‘Drowning In Your Dreams’ Music Video
British singer and songwriter Eli Gosling has just shared the official music video for his lovely new single Drowning In Your Dreams, the third single to be taken from his debut EP, Blue Romance, set to arrive on September 11th 2020, via Goldun Egg Records.
I am really enjoying his vocal delivery and how easily he conveys the emotion of his relatable lyrics of dreaming about many great things to wake up and realising that none of it was real.
The accompanying music video was directed by videographer Cara Kealy and the majority of filming took place underwater to represent the vastly different phases of a relationship which is in free fall. Check it out below!
Cara said about the concept behind the video,
Eli came to me with a direct vision of how he wanted to portray the complex feelings that occur during the different stages of a relationship. At the beginning you can feel as though you are floating and in a 'love drunk' bubble and then next minute you can feel trapped, lost and as though you are drowning in your own feelings. We filled the swimming pool with roses to represent the highs of a relationship and used the black net to represent the lows of feeling suffocated and trapped as a relationship crumbles and comes to an end.
Eli Said about the music,
This single is about a dream that pulls you into a fantasy world of endless relationship possibilities, your confidence is sky high and everything is just perfect, but then you wake-up and your ego is destroyed by the overwhelming realisation that none of it was real.
