Jolé Shares New Single ‘Alpine Green’
London-based singer-songwriter Jolé, the moniker for songwriter Josh Oliver, is back with a gorgeous new single titled Alpine Green, the first single of his upcoming EP, Silver Lake, set to arrive on August 21st.
I am loving his smooth vocal delivery and how it soars effortlessly over the intimate acoustic guitar-based production. Alpine Green is an introspective piece of music about experiencing something beautiful and wanting to share with someone you love but that person can't be there. It's a relatable song about holding someone special in our thoughts and is beautifully wrapped around a warm and soothing production that makes it perfect for a laid-back afternoon home alone with one's thoughts. Speaking about the song, Jolé said,
I wrote this song whilst being really home sick. The narrative is about experiencing something beautiful or uplifting that you wish you could share with someone that can’t be there. It’s about feeling grateful in the moment but wanting someone you love to experience it with you also. However, in not being with that person, holding them in your thoughts or in your memory can sometimes be good enough.
