HATE DRUGS Share ‘Ponderosa’ EP
American indie-pop band HATE DRUGS, consisting of David Caploe, Josiah Caploe, Adrian Diaz, John Irwin IV, and Norman Lee, have just released their new EP, Ponderosa, a 4-track project that perfectly captures their musical maturation and perseverance of their friendship.

The songs in Ponderosa are quite hypnotic and I would say that my favourite tracks are Night II (Divine Providence) which draws images of reflection that are relatable to all human experience, as the lyrics reference past moments and how quickly life changes. The song has also some lush guitar riffs and captivating rhythms that just make it even more addictive. I also loved the instrumental Day III (Falling Slowly) mostly thanks to its hazy and hypnotic melodies. Contrasting with the other two is Night III (Coming Down) as it has a more upbeat and uplifting atmosphere, with yet again lush guitar melodies and killer percussion.

Overall, Ponderosa is a hypnotic and hazy 4-track project that sounds quite warm and comforting, perfect for a laid-back weekend at home. Check it out below!
