Nashville-based singer and songwriter Melisa has just shared her brand new single Loser For Love, a catchy pop song about wishing to change certain issues in some relationships.
I am really enjoying the tone of Melisa's vocals and how they effortlessly convey the emotion of her relatable storytelling. I am also enjoying how the song starts smoothly with emotive piano keys and then a killer bass kicks in and the song slowly builds up into a more upbeat pop gem with a driving beat and infectious chorus perfect to sing along to. I am particularly fond of the emotive piano keys and I really like the change in the song with more upbeat electro-pop melodies that allow for the emotive piano keys to stand out even more and enhance the emotion of her storytelling. Loser for love is a song that I wrote about a month ago when I was so overwhelmed and honestly tired of the relationships I was in, with my close friends and boyfriend. I sat down at the piano bench one day and I bawled my eyes out singing about the changes I wish I could make in my life regarding these relationship issues. The chorus of this song, though it sounds generic and pop is where I came to an understanding that I would be stuck in this cycle because I'm someone who's afraid of change. Hence i'm a "Loser for Love" was created.
