Chasing Tales Shares New Single ‘This Soul of Mine’
Berlin-based singer and songwriter Chasing Tales has just unveiled his brand new single This Soul of Mine, a powerful, relatable song about the conflict between dreams to follow and a reality to live in.
I think most of us can relate with the struggles and decisions when planning to make great changes, being flooded with self-doubt and fear that comes with having to make a big change in life and I believe Chasing Tales perfectly captures those feelings with his lovely storytelling. I like how he also gives it a positive outlook and reminds the listener to stay strong and celebrate change. Chasing Tales' distinctive vocals are backed by a beautiful production packed with atmospheric soundscapes and catchy hooks. I am particularly fond of the punchy drums, emotive piano keys, soaring guitar riffs and how the trumpet near the end gives the song quite a memorable finish.

This Soul of Mine is about the conflict between dreams to follow and a reality to live in. It’s about sacrificing a part of yourself, about self doubt and fear. But it’s also a reminder to stay strong. And a celebration of change. The song marks the beginning of a new chapter and reflects the struggles and decisions one is confronted with when planning to make great changes. After all, I quit my full time job and sold most of my belongings to travel and play music.
