Alith Berndarn Shares New Single ‘Right For You’
Following the release of Fountain of Youth with Kathana, Vienna-native and Hamburg-based producer / visual artist Alith Berndarn is back with his brand new single Right For You, the first release from his highly-anticipated EP, Lucid Scent.
I am really enjoying the ambient vibe of the song with nature sounds and hypnotic vocal samples. Right For You starts with a mellow lo-fi pad, which is engulfed by Alith Berndarn’s signature sounds: the chirping birds. I am also very fond of the bass line and how the song slowly continues its energetic build-up, with rhythmic intonations that are following the trace of the eery-yet-intimate vocal chops, the racy bass line, and the euphonious chord progression. When the beat drops, the shivering vocals do engulf the listener’s surroundings, accompanied by the circumventing drums and percussions. Alith has delivered a striking piece of alt/electronic music with an overall soothing and laid-back atmosphere that feels perfect for a relaxing weekend at home. Speaking about the song, Alith Berndarn said,
….The track meaning/essence is to keep your mind clear, even though the situation around you might be a dire one. You should keep your eyes open because you never know that even if you’re thinking that nothing can improve the state, something can happen that turns it in the opposite direction. The beginning of the track aurally conveys the notion of being helpless. The end with its’ uplifting chord progression and the elusive percussions portrays the idea of keeping your eyes open. Also, to be sorry that sometimes you need to endure these moments of helplessness… But these moments are right for you… to grow personally.
