Glaswegian singer-songwriter Christy O’Donnell makes his official musical introduction with the release of his stirring debut single On My Mind, out now via Made Records.

I am loving Christy's distinctive vocals which have a raspy touch that enhances the emotion that pours from his vocal delivery. Taken from his upcoming EP Homegrown, On My Mind is a note to an old lover and a way to move on, all beautifully wrapped around intricate acoustic guitar melodies, delicate piano keys and subtle strings that create an addictive intimate atmosphere. This is one of those songs that will give you the feels especially thanks to Christy's stunning vocal delivery. I am really enjoying how Christy captures my attention to his lovely storytelling, making me feel each and every single word he sings as if I was going through the same inner struggle. Speaking about the song, Christy said,
‘On My Mind’ is a note to an old lover. Almost as a process of moving on for myself by finally being able to forgive myself for a situation but also letting her know that I will always think of her.
On My Mind was recorded at Urchin Studios in London Fields, and co-written with the talented York singer-songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich, and producer Matt Ingram, known for his work with Laura Marling. It features strings from Tom Hobden (Mumford and Sons) and jazz musician Nick Pini (Laura Marling).
