Danish duo Schwarze Fiktion are back with an infectious new single titled Cool Bikini Cool which takes the listener on a journey of emotional chaos.
I am really enjoying the driving beat that sets the tone for their story and, along with the bright synths, create quite a hypnotic atmosphere. I like the way how the expansive synths give the song somewhat of a futuristic and expansive vibe that I find very captivating. Cool Bikini Cool is a journey into the emotional chaos of youth depicted into young people’s intense relationship. It's that intensity that we can feel with the punchy drums and bright synths that immerse the listener into a frenzy of emotions. If you're into energetic pieces of indie-electro music with a driving beat, lush synths, smooth vocal delivery and an overall hypnotic atmosphere, then you'll love this song. Speaking about the song, front singer Bo Skjelmose said,
We explore the relationship between young people through momentary depictions of their intense, restless and explosive existence and their addiction to each other. “Cool Bikini Cool” is the first glimpse of Schwarze Fiktion’s fictive universe that depicts technology’s influence on people’s emotional lives. I get a lot of inspiration for the lyrics from recollections of my own youth which I then interpret as an older version of me.On “Cool Bikini Cool” we explore the dark side of “The Dark Fiction”. Here man is portrayed in a distanced reality where the preferred refuge is artificial dispersal. Through dispirited energy we try to illustrate the transformation from man to machine, which is the key point in our universe.
