Rhys Lewis Unveils New Version Of ‘Be Your Man’
Multi-faceted singer-songwriter Rhys Lewis has just shared a powerful new version of his single Be Your Man, out now. Back in 2017, Rhys shared an acoustic version of the song which I absolutely adore as I am a sucker for piano-driven tracks that perfectly enhance his emotive vocals.

Now Rhys shares a studio version of this song packed with punchy drums and guitar strums that enhance the emotion of the lyrics about unrequited love. I love how his raw and passionate vocals, brimming with emotion, flow effortlessly over the powerful production and really makes the message go straight for the heart. This is a great version but I am an acoustic man and I've got to say I prefer it stripped down. Nevertheless, this is a gem of a song and I am happy to share it with you guys. Speaking about the song, Rhys says,
’Be Your Man’ is of those songs that I'm still very much connected to emotionally, whenever I sing it live I get taken right back to the way I felt in the relationship at that time. It's horrible to feel like you're not enough for someone, that you're being compared to the person they were with before. I think if she'd wanted something new then we might have had something, but deep down she was looking for what she'd had with someone else.

It's been great revisiting this song in the studio, the original acoustic version is quite tender and soft, so it's been really interesting discovering a darker tone within the song.
Rhys is currently working on his debut album, due to be released in 2020.
