Ryan Egan Unveils New Single ‘Cruel Times’

NYC-based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Egan has just unveiled his brand new single Cruel Times, an infectious track about the dark times we are now living through.

I am really enjoying the lyrics and how the vocal delivery is smooth and flows effortlessly over the laid-back production. Cruel Times - written and produced by Ryan Egan, with the help of collaborators Max Harwood (Lewis Del Mar) and Dane Orr (Sonnymoon) - has a highly infectious eerie piano melody, intertwined with psychedelic saxophone riffing and an awesome bass improv that perfectly showcases Ryan's ability to weave together hip-hop, alt-pop and jazz. I am loving the melancholic atmosphere of the song and how it makes me think of those reflective, gloomy and rainy days in the city.
