Gold Spectacles Drop New Single ‘Ask Twice’
London-based collaborative multi-instrumentalist, songwriting and producing duo Gold Spectacles are back with yet another cool single titled Twice, a song about self delusion and preservation rolled into one.

Once again the Spanish guitar makes an appearance which has become somewhat of a staple in their music and one of my favourite elements. The song has an infectious chorus and the vocal delivery seems so effortless over the groovy production. Loving the bassline and how it plays against an array of arpeggiated spanish guitars, playful flutes and analog synthesizers, reflecting all the hallmarks of Gold Spectacles’ baroque-pop sound. There's also somewhat of a playful vibe in the song that makes it even mor addictive after every listen. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song the duo said,
We wanted to depict characters who are so caught up in their self-preservation that they aren’t able to see that they are hurting everyone around them (and in turn, themselves). There is blood on their hands, but they will sooner point the finger than come clean. Although lyrically the protagonist comes across as cold, the whimsical flute arrangement reminds us: he is still human.
