Gabriel and Zoe Brush Unveil Debut Single ‘Stand Still’
Singer-songwriter duo Gabriel and Zoe Brush, consisting of best friends Gabriel (who is from Louisiana) and Zoe Brush (from Colorado), have just shared their debut single Stand Still and I am madly in love with it.
If you're a regular visitor of the blog you know that I am a sucker for piano-based melodies and emotive vocals and Stand Still has all that and much more! As soon as I heard those delicate and emotive piano keys intertwined with lush strings I knew I was in for a treat. Gabriel's distinctive vocals are packed with so much soul and emotion that we feel each and every single word he sings. I could listen to Gabriel singing all day long!! Zoe's smooth vocals fit perfectly with Gabriel's and their harmonies are a pleasure to listen.
Stand Still is a song about the emotions following a heartbreak and the indecision about whether to move on or wait around for that special one to change their minds. It's a very personal song to Gabriel as he was recently heartbroken over a girl when they wrote the song. It's that personal touch that makes the song pull at those heartstrings and resonate with the listener, conveying that raw emotion of a broken heart.
