Crimson Apple Release ‘Somebody’ EP
Los Angeles-based alt-pop band, Crimson Apple have just unveiled their gorgeous new EP, Somebody, a 6-track project that provides a refreshing entry into the alt-pop genre. Somebody is defined by the dark seductive nature of lead singer, Colby Benson's vocals, backed by a definitive pop-rock edge from her three sisters, Shelby (guitar), Carthi (bass), and Faith (drums).

Back in April, I shared the EP's title track Somebody and I am still addicted to that song and to Colby Benson's powerhouse vocals. Other stand out tracks for me are Can't Get Out of Bed, which has a cool atmosphere, Who Knows and Sorry Now, which have the potential to become big singles for this band thanks to their infectious choruses and memorable melodies.

I am loving the way Crimson Apple deliver a dark-pop atmosphere with this EP by incorporating rock, pop and even J-rock style to comprise their captivating sound which got me hooked after the very first listen. It's a fresh sound and a much needed listen for the summer to come. Check it out below!

Speaking about the EP Shelby Benson said,
We've been working for over a year with Amuse Group to create this collection of songs, and along the way have gotten the opportunity to meet and work with some very amazing producers who helped us bring our visions to life. Each and every song is very personal to us.
The Benson sisters grew up in a paradise in Hawaii surrounded by a loving family and community who nurtured their talents. Their hometown was a Garden of Eden, but just over yonder big-town success gleamed; the shiny juicy apple of LA called out to them.
