Accompanying John in this track we have Linda Griffiths, whose sweet vocals perfectly compliment John's deeper tone. Still got the blues is a chilled out piece of acoustic rock with a blues touch. I am enjoying the guitars in this song and how a great storyteller John is.
Still got the blues is dedicated to a woman John had a relationship with but it eventually came to an end, even though John still hoped one day they could start over again. Here John realises that it's time to move on and take a chance at loving again. It's a cool duet, with a relatable story and chilled out melodies that are perfect for a relaxed weekend at home.
