David Tristan Unveils New Single ‘Traces’
Melbourne-born, Paris-based producer David Tristan is back with his brand new single Traces, a beautifully atmospheric, downtempo track.

I am really enjoying those smooth electronics that perfectly blend elements from the New Wave era as well as contemporary indie and ambient pop, and creates a very captivating chilled out soundscape.

David's vocals are quite powerful and the song's smooth production elevates his vocals, allowing the emotion of the lyrics to soar. I am also enjoying those delicate piano keys that give an extra dose of emotion to this downtempo track perfect for a laid back weekend at home!

Written and produced by David Tristan, Traces was mixed by Stéphane “Alf” Briat, known for his work with French music royalty Phoenix and Air (he mixed their album Moon Safari). Check it out below!

Speaking about the song David said,
Traces was inspired by the feeling of being an outsider after he moved to Paris in 2015. The struggle to connect with people, romantically or platonically, lead to a lot of superficial, short-lived encounters. The song is about the physical and intangible traces that someone, or specifically a lover, leaves behind when they go.
