Music has always been the first thing I turn to when I need to vocalize my emotions. I wrote time after breaking up from a long-term relationship and finding out that this person had slept with someone new and clearly moved on swiftly. The only way for me to digest that was to write a song and include elements of humour to distract myself from the hurt.
