This is an infectious piece of power-pop with a dark atmosphere. I am loving the guitar riffs and punchy drums and how both Pete and Lolita's vocals compliment one another. That electric guitar solo is awesome and the chorus is perfect to sing along to. There's an anthemic vibe to this song that got me hooked from the very first listen. Give it up is a very personal take on dysfunctional relationships.I used to love alcohol but it didn’t love me back, I used to love “her” but she did me wrong, I used to love money and attention but I was broken. Until I identified and “gave up” all that didn’t work I had no hope and remained stuck. Developing this new relationship with love I became free of the worldly pressures and others opinions and more attuned with the universe residing within.”
