Anja Kotar Unveils Acoustic Version Of "Coltrane"
Slovenian native, LA-based, singer-songwriter Anja Kotar has just unveiled a stunning acoustic version of her jazz inspired single Coltrane. I am a sucker for acoustic songs and this one is stunning. The guitar chords are impeccable and they allow her powerful vocals to soar. This woman sure has an awesome voice! This is an intimate version perfect to be played live and capture everybody's attention to her vocals. Loving the raspiness in her vocals which gives a raw edge to the song! Stream it below!

The studio version of the song was produced by three-time Grammy nominated producer, Pascal Guyon, and creates incomparable relationship between instrument and melody. Alongside the single, the visuals for “Coltrane” portray Kotar’s internal struggle of two souls pushing and pulling against each other.

The gritty tone in Kotar’s voice captures the desperation in escaping the complicated relationships one experiences. Mirroring that relationship, director Jani Ugrin, visually captures the importance of self-care through the absence of a partner. While the song narrates a story of two people who find themselves in a strained relationship, Kotar is the sole focus of the video. Marilyn Monroe also plays a role in the music video, influencing Kotar and guiding her through the struggles of the heart.
