Carter Reeves
Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter Carter Reeves has just unveiled his brand new single Bittersweet, a song about dealing with the emotions following a break up. His smooth and soothing vocals were what drew me towards this song and I can't get enough of it.

Bittersweet has an infectious melody courtesy of the groovy guitar line and playful electronics. The chorus is the most addictive part of the song that got stuck to my head and just made me sing along to it. Stream this gem below!

Speaking about the song Reeves said,
I wrote Bittersweet a few days after leaving a relationship. The reason the song is called “Bittersweet” is due to the emotions behind my decision to end the relationship. I ended the relationship because I needed to regain my personal time and to focus selfishly and undividedly on myself. It was really sad for me to end something that brought me so much joy, but ultimately it was the best decision for myself.

The chorus ‘I still think about you’ is honest -- I do still think about my ex. There was no problem in the relationship, I just felt like I needed to move on, which is a tough way to part. On the flip side, there is an underlying happy sentiment that I am now on the right path, and all my focus is on myself.
Reeves spent the past six years achieving global recognition as part of the alternative hip-hop duo Aer before making the move to solo material on his Fresh Fruit EP.
