Seafret Return With Awesome New Single ‘Can’t Look Away’
One of my favourite indie/folk acts, Seafret, returns after a 2-year hiatus with a gorgeous new single called Can't Look Away, out today through Kobalt. This is a rousing track full of gusto and heart and sees the North Yorkshire duo, Jack Sedman and Harry Draper on top form. I missed those lush vocals and killer guitar works. Stream it below!
Speaking about the new single they say,
After touring flat out following the release of our debut album, it feels incredible to release some fresh new music. Its been a while coming so we are doubly fired up to release Cant Look Away as the first glimpse of the EP we shall be releasing in the near future. In contrast to our debut album that was recorded in London, weve recorded all the new music up in Scotland. By once again removing ourselves from our comfort zone we feel its had a great effect on the music and kept it exciting for us. Well always only put out music that feels honest to us but by changing our surroundings we feel its made us produce music that sounds fresh and new. We hope the fans enjoy it as much as we do.
Can't Look Away is taken from Seafret's upcoming EP Monsters which will be released in the autumn and was produced and co-written with Ross Hamilton at Rocket Science Recording Studios, Glasgow. They will be announcing live dates in the coming weeks.
