Simon D James Unveils Stunning Visuals For ‘In The Fields’
Time for some dreamy music! Brighton-based singer/songwriter Simon D James is back with a brand new single called In The Fields, out now through Yellowbrick Records. This is a beautiful piece of Folk/Americana music with somewhat of a dreamy/ethereal-like atmosphere. Really digging this one guys!

The stunning visuals, directed by Sylvan Kalviac, were shot on the fields of the New Forest and give the song a powerful background of being in tune with Nature. Check them out below!

In The Fields was written as both a farewell letter to Simon’s late Grandfather and dedicated to the many friends Simon made from Sudan, who had made their way from Darfur to the UK in search of peace and liberty. The track describes the emotion of experiencing the arms that once embraced you as home, and now repel you away.

In The Fields was recorded at Green Mount Studios by Jamis Lockhart and Lee Smith and features the vocals of Simon's long time friend Iva Vuchenovic. This song is the follow up to his well received debut single Dearest Lovely World, both songs taken from his upcoming album which is predominately written by Simon with the help of Kate McSherry.

The album was recorded at Green Mount Studios in Leeds with Jamie Lockhart and Lee Smith performing, arranging and producing it.
