Castelle releases debut EP ‘Polychromatic’
Speaking about the EP Castelle said,
To me, the word “Polychromatic” {of two or more or of varying colours; multi-coloured} stands for the different music styles and textures I tried to combine for the tracks on the EP. It has influences of jazz, house and bossa-nova mixed together with rich heavy synth driven beats, and that combination made the EP very colorful to me.
During high-school Marco Terenzi (Castelle) discovered electronic music through producers like Porter Robinson, Avicii, and deadmau5 and got inspired develop his own sound. After multiple years of exploring different sounds in his bedroom studio, Marco found his signature synth heavy Indie-Electronic sound that stands left of the traditional EDM center.
Now the Detroit native, Castelle, is on a mission to put himself and his city on the map in the Indie-Electronic scene. He added,
Detroit has such a rich music culture, from Motown, to House, Techno and Hip-Hop. These music communities are so deeply rooted in Detroit’s history that my music is still a very unfamiliar territory for most of the people here.
